Forget pretenses: everyday happenings, the same old, and the perpetual hunt to find an addition for which your
space yearns. Carol Tarver dimmed such thinking when she decided to leave behind Corporate America in favor
of her ultimate venture. Over the financial scene, Carol turned to her appreciation for art and found a new
beginning via interior design studies and graduation from the Art Institute of Atlanta. True to her nature and in
part due to her work with Bobby McAlpine’s design firm MBF Interiors, she quickly realized a missing element in
the design arena: lamps for abundant spaces.
In late 2006, Carol Tarver Interiors was the response to showcase her interior design skills, alongside lamps.
Ever the driven, a decisive-by-default sort, she ensures each lamp is more than a shot in the dark. Carol
continues work in interiors, coupled with her lamps.
Carol's lamps go beyond any boxed options. Metallic foil-lined, half-round drum shades, multiple textures with
limited patterns, a less is more approach. It’s her affinity for Shakespeare, love for finding artifacts that find a
‘next life’ as a lamp post, and her pet peeve for anything too decorative that make her custom lamps. No two are
the same, but all are absolute art in a functional piece.
